( Designophy interviews Markus Benesch here )

Fun Fun Fun is the word with Markus Benesch’s foomy chair. Constructed entirely from Eva foam , it is virtually unbreakable, lightweight and buoyant in water. Perfect for those interesting poolside watering holes as a cool piece of bar furniture. Dunked in the water – no problemo, thrown at each other- go ahead – it’ll make a plenty of fun and wild parties at the beach. Markus says : “ can’t hurt you – no hard edges”. There, the official go ahead to party.

If your looking to set up say a small bistro and shipping costs are killing you. How about using this as a piece of commercial bistro furniture for a fun take on seating. Setting up will be a breeze. In fact it was a prime consideration in the design. Marcus Benesch said : “ I was a bit tired of packing, unpacking, repacking heavy exhibition pieces. I wished they were made of a different material, and I could just throw them in a trunk and , when I opened the trunk again, they would pop out and be ready for display”.
